Pre/Post Natal Yoga for Mamas Who Like to Move

A fit pregnancy feels great!  Most doctors recommend at least 30 minutes a day of physical exercise for pregnant women.  Exercise can ease back pain, increase your energy levels, prevent excessive weight gain, and reduce the risk of gestational diabetes and post-partum depression

Mondays* 2:15pm-3:45pm at Yogis Anonymous. Class is free!

Fridays* 11:30am-1pm, inside the Shiatsu Massage School of CA.  $10-$15 Suggested Donation. Enter off Strand/Main, around the corner from Rawvolution.

*If you are a brand new student and I don’t have your email, please always check my homepage or schedule page the morning of class just to make sure I haven’t been called into a birth that day. If I have your email, you will receive an update. Thank you!

Pre/Post Natal Yoga with Aria includes deep, targeted stretches to open up the shoulders and hips, and release low back tension.  A strong standing pose sequence strengthens and stabilizes the pelvic floor and prepares the body for birth. The practitioner stays connected to her growing, changing body, building endurance, flexibility and strength of body and mind..

An important aspect of my prenatal classes is fostering the mind/body connection. We begin class with an opening meditation that helps unite you with your body and your baby. We end class with a birth visualization or chakra meditation, so as to empower you to have a more satisfactory birth experience. Aria unites her love for movement and yoga with her experience as a Birth Doula to provide you with powerful movement, meditation and breathing techniques.  Post-natal moms with infants up to crawling, or six months of age are also welcome to participate.

Classes are offered as a service to the community.
